April 9, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3665 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1507 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4526 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. KINROSS GOLD CORP (NYSE:KGC), ARENA PHARMACEUTICALS INC (NASDAQ:ARNA), RESEARCH IN MOTION (NASDAQ:RIMM), SEAGATE TECHNOLOGY (NASDAQ:STX), ELITE PHARMACEUTICALS INC (OTC:ELTP), ARMOUR RESIDENTIAL REIT INC (NYSE:ARR). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  KGC $0.070 0.76% 2,207,140 36.59% 1,691,330 28.04% 515,810 73,687
  ARNA $0.050 1.63% 4,688,377 51.45% 4,194,468 46.03% 493,909 98,782
  RIMM $0.360 2.87% 15,253,586 53.42% 13,262,185 46.45% 1,991,401 55,317
  STX $0.590 2.29% 5,687,207 52.28% 5,133,256 47.19% 553,951 9,389
  ELTP $0.017 17.00% 4,466,687 60.86% 2,872,076 39.14% 1,594,611 938,006
  ARR $0.030 0.44% 1,996,147 52.64% 1,092,083 28.80% 904,064 301,355
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows KGC with a Net Buy Volume of 515,810 shares and a Friction Factor of 73,687 shares. That means that it takes 73,687 more shares of buying than selling to move KGC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
