April 10, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 3180 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1249 companies with positive Friction Factors and 5404 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Hecla Mining Co (NYSE:HL), SUPERVALU INC (NYSE:SVU), NETSOL TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:NTWK), EpiCept Corp (OTC:EPCT), ProShares Trust UltraPro Short QQQ ETF (NASDAQ:SQQQ), MOTOROLA MOBILITY HOLDINGS I (NYSE:MMI). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  HL $0.180 4.35% 2,569,660 39.36% 2,188,153 33.51% 381,507 21,195
  SVU $0.740 13.85% 13,751,751 35.82% 13,147,092 34.24% 604,659 8,171
  NTWK $0.050 12.92% 1,713,483 72.92% 636,230 27.08% 1,077,253 215,451
  EPCT $0.010 4.55% 504,423 86.39% 79,476 13.61% 424,947 424,947
  SQQQ $0.460 4.21% 2,344,154 55.92% 1,844,995 44.01% 499,159 10,851
  MMI $0.360 0.93% 3,058,187 32.11% 2,099,324 22.04% 958,863 26,635
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows HL with a Net Buy Volume of 381,507 shares and a Friction Factor of 21,195 shares. That means that it takes 21,195 more shares of buying than selling to move HL higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
