March 9, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3599 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3806 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2088 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), RITE AID CORP (NYSE:RAD), News Corp (NASDAQ:NWSA), INDUSTRIAL NANOTECH INC (OTC:INTK), FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS CORP (NYSE:FTR), (NASDAQ:QQQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SIRI $0.050 2.40% 36,392,162 57.07% 27,361,200 42.91% 9,030,962 1,806,192
  RAD $0.030 1.95% 8,702,361 56.83% 3,698,827 24.15% 5,003,534 1,667,845
  NWSA $0.270 1.39% 7,009,742 57.08% 4,748,330 38.67% 2,261,412 83,756
  INTK $0.022 55.00% 5,592,731 62.04% 3,421,567 37.96% 2,171,164 986,893
  FTR $0.050 1.14% 8,319,625 60.96% 5,266,782 38.59% 3,052,843 610,569
  QQQ $0.290 0.45% 21,680,768 52.30% 19,755,077 47.65% 1,925,691 66,403
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SIRI with a Net Buy Volume of 9,030,962 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,806,192 shares. That means that it takes 1,806,192 more shares of buying than selling to move SIRI higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
