March 9, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3599 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3806 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2088 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. ACTIVISION BLIZZARD INC (NASDAQ:ATVI), BOSTON FLOWER EXCHAN (OTC:BFLX), BANCO SANTANDER BRASIL-ADS (NYSE:BSBR), Clearwire Corp (NASDAQ:CLWR), Heckmann Corp (NYSE:HEK), ARMOUR RESIDENTIAL REIT INC (NYSE:ARR). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  ATVI $-0.100 -0.80% 9,833,948 55.61% 7,841,716 44.35% 1,992,232 Abnormal
  BFLX $-0.036 -26.76% 20,196,897 52.48% 18,281,824 47.51% 1,915,073 Abnormal
  BSBR $-0.170 -1.60% 3,223,824 43.28% 1,610,594 21.62% 1,613,230 Abnormal
  CLWR $-0.090 -4.09% 10,356,449 54.58% 8,617,085 45.42% 1,739,364 Abnormal
  HEK $-0.500 -9.45% 5,305,144 39.06% 3,996,751 29.43% 1,308,393 Abnormal
  ARR $-0.230 -3.23% 22,159,665 43.45% 15,936,090 31.24% 6,223,575 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Friday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows ATVI with 1,992,232 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.10000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
