January 27, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2742 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2224 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2780 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Sprylogics International Corp (NYSE:SPY), EMC CORP/MASS (NYSE:EMC), CISCO SYSTEMS INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:CSCO), HUNTINGTON BANCSHARES INC (NASDAQ:HBAN), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), HOME DEPOT INC (NYSE:HD). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     SPY $0.020 0.02% 80,877,636 49.13% 78,212,550 47.51% 2,665,086 1,332,543
     EMC $0.120 0.52% 24,532,254 47.22% 20,544,607 39.55% 3,987,647 332,304
     CSCO $0.160 0.76% 40,433,480 55.77% 31,653,971 43.66% 8,779,509 548,719
     HBAN $0.020 0.28% 12,789,363 54.14% 10,623,106 44.97% 2,166,257 1,083,129
     INTC $0.280 1.32% 38,155,685 53.28% 32,568,403 45.48% 5,587,282 199,546
     HD $0.300 0.81% 7,929,162 56.11% 5,047,128 35.71% 2,882,034 96,068
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SPY with a Net Buy Volume of 2,665,086 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,332,543 shares. That means that it takes 1,332,543 more shares of buying than selling to move SPY higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
