Redhawk Resources Announces Additional Results of 2011 Resource Expansion Drilling at Copper Creek Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 29, 2011) - Redhawk Resources, Inc. (TSX:RDK)(OTCQX:RHWKF)(FRANKFURT:QF7) -

  • Thick mineralized zones including 900 ft 0.51% Cu and 1927 ft 0.48% Cu
  • Infill drilling confirming grade and continuity of porphyry zones
  • Fourteen drill holes completed in 2011 resource expansion and upgrade program
  • Three core drills working on 2011 drill program

Redhawk Resources, Inc. ("Redhawk" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the results for four additional drill holes of the 2011 resource expansion and definition program and one hole from a new area of porphyry mineralization (see attached map for drill hole locations: [ http://media3.marketwire.com/docs/rdk.pdf ]).

2011 Resource Expansion and Upgrade Drill Program

The 2011 drill program is focused on increasing the connection between the Keel and American Eagle (AE) porphyry areas and infill drilling to move a considerable portion of the AE resource and more of the Keel resource into the Measured and Indicated categories in preparation for a Pre-Feasibility Study commencing early in 2012. Results from earlier drilling in the 2011 program were given in news releases dated June 1, 2011 and September 12, 2011. The drill program is continuing with three core drills working 24/7 on the property. Assay results are pending on a number of completed holes. Assay results for holes, RAE-07-020 drilled vertical to total depth 3671 feet (1119m), RAE-08-029 drilled vertical to total depth 4108 feet (1252m), RAE-11-054 drilled N45W at -85 to total depth 3751 feet (1143m), and RMK-11-070 drilled vertical to total depth 3637 feet (1109m) have been received and significant intervals are shown below. Holes RAE-11-054, which included a lengthy mineralized zone of 900 feet of 0.51% Cu and RMK-11-070 were step out holes designed to increase the connection of the Keel and AE deposits. Hole RAE-07-020, which intersected a significant mineralized zone of 1927 feet of 0.48% Cu, is an infill resource upgrade hole in the AE, and hole RAE-08-029 is a step out hole at the SE margin of the existing AE resource.

Redhawk believes the results from the infill and expansion holes reported above and previously will help not only in demonstrating the continuity of mineralization between the Keel and AE but should also increase the total resources of the combined deposits.

District Exploration holes

Drill hole REX-11-053, the third hole drilled in a new area of mineralization located approximately1550 feet (472m) west of the Keel resource boundary, was drilled N70E at -83 degrees to a total depth of 3967 feet (1209m). Results from the third hole are listed below. All three holes from the same site intersected zones of potentially economic grades of copper and molybdenum mineralization. Results of holes REX-10-047 and REX-11-052 were reported in the September 12, 2011 news release.

Redhawk believes the drilling results from the three holes drilled from the REX-10-047 site west of the Keel resource boundary suggest the strong possibility of an area that can be developed into a new resource. It is also possible that the resource may connect with the existing Keel and AE porphyry resource. Additional drilling will be required in the new area and will be considered after the resource expansion and upgrade drilling in the 2011 drill program is completed.

R. Joe Sandberg, Redhawk President and CEO, stated, "The resource upgrade and expansion drilling between the Keel and AE deposits continues to be very encouraging. The drilling will lead to a new resource update in early 2012. The additional permitting, hydrology, metallurgical and mine optimization efforts are continuing in preparation for the Pre-Feasibility Study in early 2012. We believe the outcome of these efforts will continue to move the Copper Creek project closer to a production decision."

All core samples are picked up on site by Redhawk geologists or delivered by the drillers to Redhawk personnel. All samples are delivered by Redhawk personnel to ALS Laboratory Group ISO 9001:2000 & ISO 17025 in Elko, NV or Reno, NV for assay or to Jacobs Assay Office Registered Assayers in Tucson, AZ for sample preparation to pulps and shipped by Jacobs using UPS to ALS in Reno, NV. Check assay standards are submitted with each assay job, and reviewed for accuracy. Check assaying is being performed by Inspectorate and KD Engineering/Metcon.

About Redhawk

Redhawk is a Canadian-based resource exploration and development company with primary focus on the accelerated development of its advanced stage Copper Creek copper-molybdenum project in San Manuel, Arizona. The 100% owned Copper Creek property consists of approximately twenty-eight square miles of contiguous patented and unpatented mining claims and state prospecting permits, located about 70 miles northeast of Tucson, Arizona and about 15 miles east of San Manuel. The property is in the prolific southwest US porphyry copper belt at the projected intersection of a major northwest belt of porphyry copper deposits or mines (Ray, Miami/Globe, Superior/Resolution, Johnson Camp) and a major east-northeast belt of porphyry deposits (San Manuel/Kalamazoo, Silver Bell, Lakeshore, Safford, Morenci). The property is within sight of the former BHP Kalamazoo/San Manuel copper smelter and mine and within 30 miles of an existing operating copper mill and smelter. The area is a mining friendly and politically secure location with excellent and readily accessible infrastructure including power, rail, water, roads and qualified consultants.
