National Bank will be offering a treat to gourmet chocolate lovers with its 7th Holiday Season fundraising campaign to benefit Club des petits déjeuners du Québec and Breakfast Clubs of Canada. Anyone with a sweet tooth will have the opportunity to savour organic chocolate made by Theobroma Chocolat™ while supporting a great cause. The chocolates will be sold for $5 in a charming reusable box at National Bank branches across Canada, from November 28 to December 31, 2011.
"We are very proud to once again be associated with Club des petits déjeuners du Québec and Breakfast Clubs of Canada and, by having our employees sell this product in branches, help ensure the success of this fundraising campaign," stated campaign ambassador Kathleen Zicat, Senior Vice President, Sales and Service - Retail Banking, National Bank. "Last year, the campaign surpassed all our expectations and we are convinced that this year will prove to be just as successful for this organization and the children who benefit from its programs."
Every pretty box is illustrated by Kettö, the design duo, and contains nine delicious pieces: three dark chocolates, three dark chocolates with a burst of raspberry and three dark chocolates with a burst of orange. Theobroma Chocolat™ chocolate is made from natural ingredients, is gluten-free and produced entirely in Quebec.
"Once again, we specifically chose a product of quality that people would be happy to buy and give," specified Daniel Germain, Founding President of the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec and Breakfast Clubs of Canada. "Finding the right product is important because this campaign is a critical source of financing for us. With this product, we have been able to bring together all the elements we were looking for, and it is produced locally. Furthermore, by choosing Theobroma Chocolat™ organic chocolate, we are supporting sustainable practices."
Thanks to National Bank's support and the contributions from the thousands who will buy this lovely box of gourmet, organic and free-trade chocolates, the Club will be able to maintain its services in existing clubs and expand its activities to help the largest possible number of children. Last year, thanks to all the donations and many partnerships, 8,500 volunteers welcomed over 106,000 schoolchildren and served no fewer than 16 million breakfasts during the school year. Club des petits déjeuners du Québec and Breakfast Clubs of Canada helped thousands of children start off their school day on the right foot with a healthy breakfast.
