Big Rock Brewery, Calgary Police Services, and Associated Cabs Combine Forces to Prevent Drinking and Driving

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 22, 2011) - Big Rock Brewery Inc. (TSX:BR) - One of our favorite times of year is upon us! With all the parties and cheer that encompasses the holiday season, the most important thing to remember is getting home safe, which is why Big Rock Brewery, Associated Cab and the Calgary Police Service have come together for the sixth year to warn people not to drink and drive.

Starting Friday, November 25th, and extending through the busy month of December including New Years Eve, this city-wide campaign will remind consumers to act responsibly while enjoying the holiday "spirits" and not to get behind the wheel of a vehicle.

As part of the campaign, 350 posters and 20,000 coasters will be distributed to approximately 100 bars and restaurants in Calgary. Participants in these establishments are also working to remind their customers to make smart decisions this season. On each piece of promotional material, the Associated Cab phone number is prominently displayed on both the poster and the coaster to ensure the message is not only clear but that it helps the individual make the call to book a cab ride home.

On Friday November 25, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. MST, members of the media are invited to the launch of this campaign at the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section located at 6528 11th St. North East. Representatives of each organization involved will be at the availability and a vehicle that was involved in a fatal collision.
