FEDERAL WAY, Wash.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE:WY) today announced that it will be making changes to its distribution operations in Northern California by closing the iLevel by Weyerhaeuser service center in West Sacramento and expanding the Stockton facility. The company will begin transition activities immediately, with the expectation that the West Sacramento facility will close by mid-February.

"The Northern California market remains an important region for us"

"The Northern California market remains an important region for us," said Phil Dennett, vice president, iLevel supply chain. "The West Sacramento closure will not impact our commitment to the customers in this region."

As part of this change, the company will be expanding its presence in Stockton, located 45 miles south of Sacramento, by adding warehouse space and outside storage in order to meet the needs of Northern California customers.

"We recognize the hard work and dedicated performance of our 15 associates at the West Sacramento facility, and we will support them during this change," said Dennett. "We are focused on ensuring a smooth transition, and we remain committed to our distribution model and the critical role these teams play in the success of iLevel."
