Suven Pharmaceuticals, an Indian company, has agreed to acquire a controlling 51% stake in the US-based NJ Bio for $40.25 million, with the deal expected to close by the end of March 2024. NJ Bio, established in 2012 in New Jersey, specializes in developing and manufacturing oligonucleotides, which are used in advanced therapies like antisense and RNA interference. This acquisition will allow Suven to expand its capabilities in the oligonucleotide sector, enhancing its global presence and supporting its growth strategy in the pharmaceutical industry.
