May 24, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4875 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3008 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2354 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ:COOL), GILBERT CAP CORP (OTC:GBTC), Tillys Inc. (NYSE:TLYS), The Container Store Group Inc. (NYSE:TCS), Fenix Parts (NASDAQ:FENX), BTL Group Ltd (PINK:BTLLF). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  COOL $2.040 0.13% 154,609 34.38% 139,965 31.13% 14,644 72
  GBTC $123.000 0.42% 92,680 27.52% 57,376 17.04% 35,304 3
  TLYS $1.060 0.12% 834,687 34.28% 757,359 31.11% 77,328 730
  TCS $1.350 0.33% 3,625,900 37.26% 3,512,750 36.09% 113,150 838
  FENX $0.290 0.34% 199,560 44.35% 147,275 32.73% 52,285 1,803
  BTLLF $0.438 0.15% 37,850 40.34% 27,500 29.31% 10,350 236
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows COOL with a dollar gain Wednesday of $2.04000 and a Friction Factor of 72 shares. That means that it only took 72 more shares of buying than selling to move COOL higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
