May 22, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5288 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3771 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2259 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Banco Bradesco S.A. (NYSE:BBD), Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE:WMT), Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE:FCX), Graphic Packaging Holding Company (NYSE:GPK), Energy Transfer Equity L.P. (NYSE:ETE), Abbvie Inc. (NYSE:ABBV). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BBD $-0.460 -0.05% 8,406,211 36.38% 6,373,133 27.58% 2,033,078 Abnormal
  WMT $-0.220 -0.00% 3,930,374 41.24% 2,444,439 25.65% 1,485,935 Abnormal
  FCX $-0.060 -0.01% 5,860,030 35.22% 3,989,960 23.98% 1,870,070 Abnormal
  GPK $-0.360 -0.03% 7,586,720 47.46% 4,004,420 25.05% 3,582,300 Abnormal
  ETE $-0.150 -0.01% 3,995,013 44.30% 1,811,663 20.09% 2,183,350 Abnormal
  ABBV $-0.140 -0.00% 2,859,167 44.67% 1,035,976 16.19% 1,823,191 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Monday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BBD with 2,033,078 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.46000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
