May 18, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5376 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2931 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2866 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLF), Utilities Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLU), Technology Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLK), Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), Plains All American Pipeline L.P. (NYSE:PAA), AT&T Inc (NYSE:T). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLF $0.060 0.00% 34,040,102 34.09% 36,802,997 36.86% -2,762,895 Abnormal
  XLU $0.180 0.00% 3,230,959 19.57% 6,210,974 37.63% -2,980,015 Abnormal
  XLK $0.330 0.01% 3,411,092 19.82% 5,363,577 31.16% -1,952,485 Abnormal
  BAC $0.170 0.01% 35,242,487 32.19% 41,271,581 37.70% -6,029,094 Abnormal
  PAA $0.030 0.00% 398,293 8.36% 2,416,155 50.69% -2,017,862 Abnormal
  T $0.490 0.01% 7,621,455 27.90% 10,002,275 36.61% -2,380,820 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Thursday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLF with 2,762,895 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.06000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
