May 18, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5376 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2931 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2866 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. SPDR S&P 500 (NYSE:SPY), Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE:EPD), General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), Eldorado Gold Corporation (NYSE:EGO), United States Oil Fund, LP (NYSE:USO). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SPY $0.850 0.00% 27,764,617 26.87% 23,719,645 22.96% 4,044,972 47,588
  EPD $0.150 0.01% 6,224,478 55.38% 1,166,415 10.38% 5,058,063 337,204
  GE $0.070 0.00% 18,364,084 38.79% 14,909,188 31.50% 3,454,896 493,557
  SIRI $0.110 0.02% 13,228,193 40.47% 10,627,499 32.51% 2,600,694 236,427
  EGO $0.040 0.01% 8,846,903 43.49% 5,138,186 25.26% 3,708,717 927,179
  USO $0.060 0.01% 10,552,605 46.60% 7,496,518 33.10% 3,056,087 509,348
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SPY with a Net Buy Volume of 4,044,972 shares and a Friction Factor of 47,588 shares. That means that it takes 47,588 more shares of buying than selling to move SPY higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
