May 16, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5403 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3057 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2907 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Tuesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Bovie Medical Corporation (NYSE:BVX), Mirna Therapeutics (NASDAQ:MIRN), EnteroMedics Inc. (NASDAQ:ETRM), TearLab Corporation (NASDAQ:TEAR), Capricor Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:CAPR), KBS Fashion Group Ltd (NASDAQ:KBSF). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .
Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction BVX $-0.520 -0.20% 172,911 27.56% 193,224 30.79% -20,313 -391 MIRN $-0.570 -0.28% 118,365 29.61% 190,235 47.60% -71,870 -1,261 ETRM $-1.780 -0.29% 759,307 35.90% 848,391 40.11% -89,084 -500 TEAR $-0.450 -0.17% 84,196 30.27% 121,677 43.74% -37,481 -833 CAPR $-0.190 -0.16% 229,308 32.58% 316,429 44.96% -87,121 -4,585 KBSF $-1.140 -0.20% 48,674 29.12% 77,623 46.44% -28,949 -254Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows BVX with a dollar loss Tuesday of $-0.52000 and a Friction Factor of -391 shares. That means that it only took 391 more shares of selling than buying to move BVX lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
