May 12, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5421 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2723 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3173 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index Fund (NYSE:FXI), Petrobras - Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (NYSE:PBR), iShares MSCI EAFE Index (NYSE:EFA), MaxLinear Inc. (NYSE:MXL), Pandora Media Inc. (NYSE:P), Snap Inc. (NYSE:SNAP). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  FXI $0.440 0.01% 8,105,180 38.14% 5,356,581 25.21% 2,748,599 62,468
  PBR $0.540 0.06% 11,324,995 37.56% 9,369,606 31.08% 1,955,389 36,211
  EFA $0.360 0.01% 13,769,024 44.23% 6,849,470 22.00% 6,919,554 192,210
  MXL $0.990 0.03% 6,025,442 45.01% 1,717,433 12.83% 4,308,009 43,515
  P $0.320 0.03% 7,990,921 41.14% 5,773,334 29.72% 2,217,587 69,300
  SNAP $1.190 0.07% 25,903,277 37.66% 24,156,105 35.12% 1,747,172 14,682
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FXI with a Net Buy Volume of 2,748,599 shares and a Friction Factor of 62,468 shares. That means that it takes 62,468 more shares of buying than selling to move FXI higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
