May 9, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5423 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2706 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3164 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (NYSE:VRX), CPI Aerostructures, Inc. (NYSE:CVU), World Acceptance Corporation (NASDAQ:WRLD), Petro River Oil Corp (OTC:PTRC), Wayfair (NYSE:W), Teladoc Inc. (NYSE:TDOC). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  VRX $2.370 0.24% 50,918,404 40.90% 49,095,764 39.44% 1,822,640 7,690
  CVU $1.300 0.23% 100,743 31.98% 91,499 29.05% 9,244 71
  WRLD $24.500 0.39% 396,792 28.05% 369,908 26.15% 26,884 11
  PTRC $0.291 0.32% 122,669 56.75% 93,009 43.03% 29,660 1,021
  W $10.570 0.21% 4,294,772 35.95% 4,288,837 35.90% 5,935 6
  TDOC $5.750 0.25% 1,222,973 35.34% 1,218,000 35.19% 4,973 9
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows VRX with a dollar gain Tuesday of $2.37000 and a Friction Factor of 7,690 shares. That means that it only took 7,690 more shares of buying than selling to move VRX higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
