May 8, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5615 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2457 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3256 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. STRATEGIC ENV & EGY (OTC:SENR), Celadon Group Inc. (NYSE:CGI), MannKind Corp (NASDAQ:MNKD), Straight Path Communications Inc. (NYSE:STRP), Finjan Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:FNJN), Chiasma Inc. (NASDAQ:CHMA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SENR $0.290 0.41% 356,277 50.08% 322,266 45.30% 34,011 1,173
  CGI $0.400 0.22% 1,155,462 36.79% 953,411 30.35% 202,051 5,051
  MNKD $0.273 0.34% 4,597,917 40.59% 4,396,322 38.81% 201,595 7,390
  STRP $53.250 0.33% 379,683 31.22% 369,619 30.39% 10,064 2
  FNJN $0.350 0.20% 381,068 33.80% 313,490 27.81% 67,578 1,931
  CHMA $0.300 0.20% 51,589 33.59% 47,259 30.77% 4,330 144
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SENR with a dollar gain Monday of $0.29000 and a Friction Factor of 1,173 shares. That means that it only took 1,173 more shares of buying than selling to move SENR higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
