May 4, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5324 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2476 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3514 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Thursday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Lee Enterprises Incorporated (NYSE:LEE), China Commercial Credit (NASDAQ:CCCR), Entellus Medical Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTL), CPI Card Group Inc. (NASDAQ:PMTS), Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (NYSE:NMM), Wi-LAN Inc. (NASDAQ:WILN). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  LEE $-0.650 -0.24% 403,834 28.70% 526,002 37.38% -122,168 -1,880
  CCCR $-0.440 -0.16% 242,482 35.07% 257,562 37.25% -15,080 -343
  ENTL $-3.250 -0.21% 333,454 30.18% 436,544 39.52% -103,090 -317
  PMTS $-0.530 -0.17% 332,618 34.90% 424,870 44.58% -92,252 -1,741
  NMM $-0.320 -0.17% 960,242 29.23% 1,114,035 33.91% -153,793 -4,806
  WILN $-0.350 -0.18% 138,559 32.54% 140,356 32.96% -1,797 -51
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows LEE with a dollar loss Thursday of $-0.65000 and a Friction Factor of -1,880 shares. That means that it only took 1,880 more shares of selling than buying to move LEE lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
