April 26, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5659 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3025 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2745 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ), NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE:NRG), Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX), Northwest Biotherapeutics Inc. (PINK:NWBO), Fannie Mae (PINK:FNMA), Liberty Interactive Corporation (NASDAQ:QVCA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  VZ $0.660 0.01% 9,927,722 33.07% 8,328,482 27.74% 1,599,240 24,231
  NRG $0.270 0.02% 5,004,736 50.14% 1,904,290 19.08% 3,100,446 114,831
  ABX $0.070 0.00% 9,812,480 39.69% 6,522,120 26.38% 3,290,360 470,051
  NWBO $0.045 0.30% 3,733,499 64.90% 1,838,714 31.96% 1,894,785 425,794
  FNMA $0.090 0.03% 6,101,225 56.99% 4,323,323 40.38% 1,777,902 197,545
  QVCA $0.120 0.01% 5,004,388 52.48% 2,315,877 24.28% 2,688,511 224,043
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows VZ with a Net Buy Volume of 1,599,240 shares and a Friction Factor of 24,231 shares. That means that it takes 24,231 more shares of buying than selling to move VZ higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
