April 25, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5579 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3664 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2321 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Tuesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Willdan Group Inc. (NASDAQ:WLDN), Gafisa S.A. (NYSE:GFA), Direxion Daily Gold Miners Bull 3X Shares (NYSE:NUGT), NGL Energy Partners LP (NYSE:NGL), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bull 3X ETF (NYSE:JNUG), PhaseRx (NASDAQ:PZRX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  WLDN $-5.290 -0.16% 116,989 30.26% 136,130 35.21% -19,141 -36
  GFA $-5.200 -0.31% 443,337 29.94% 505,700 34.15% -62,363 -120
  NUGT $-1.210 -0.13% 26,806,581 35.95% 31,077,106 41.67% -4,270,525 -35,294
  NGL $-5.300 -0.24% 1,919,492 30.46% 2,064,415 32.76% -144,923 -273
  JNUG $-0.720 -0.14% 27,669,229 36.37% 32,031,632 42.10% -4,362,403 -60,589
  PZRX $-0.360 -0.19% 915,100 33.64% 1,262,073 46.39% -346,973 -9,638
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows WLDN with a dollar loss Tuesday of $-5.29000 and a Friction Factor of -36 shares. That means that it only took 36 more shares of selling than buying to move WLDN lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
