April 20, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5450 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3858 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2031 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLF), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (NYSE:HPE). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLF $0.390 0.02% 31,069,613 35.95% 28,054,026 32.46% 3,015,587 77,323
  EEM $0.480 0.01% 15,299,027 31.42% 11,697,019 24.03% 3,602,008 75,042
  F $0.260 0.02% 19,887,198 37.71% 15,281,316 28.98% 4,605,882 177,149
  AMD $0.270 0.02% 17,744,609 42.41% 14,695,162 35.12% 3,049,447 112,942
  GDX $0.160 0.01% 21,317,465 39.55% 14,396,362 26.71% 6,921,103 432,569
  HPE $0.170 0.01% 5,474,268 41.87% 2,155,633 16.49% 3,318,635 195,214
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLF with a Net Buy Volume of 3,015,587 shares and a Friction Factor of 77,323 shares. That means that it takes 77,323 more shares of buying than selling to move XLF higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
