April 13, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5210 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1885 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4236 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Thursday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLF), SPDR S&P 500 (NYSE:SPY), Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), Rexahn Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NYSE:RNN), Firesteel Resources Inc (NASDAQ:FTR), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bull 3X ETF (NYSE:JNUG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLF $-0.300 -0.01% 35,156,211 29.21% 42,853,067 35.61% -7,696,856 -256,562
  SPY $-1.470 -0.01% 16,598,381 21.36% 21,250,766 27.35% -4,652,385 -31,649
  BAC $-0.300 -0.01% 27,373,663 30.53% 35,232,795 39.29% -7,859,132 -261,971
  RNN $-0.161 -0.26% 13,796,293 33.57% 18,735,484 45.59% -4,939,191 -306,782
  FTR $-0.080 -0.04% 12,528,722 35.32% 16,527,545 46.60% -3,998,823 -499,853
  JNUG $-0.780 -0.10% 28,298,150 39.04% 32,853,595 45.33% -4,555,445 -58,403
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLF down $-0.30000 with a Friction Factor of -256,562 and a Net Volume of -7,696,856. That means that it takes 256,562 more shares of selling than buying to drop XLF by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
