April 10, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5509 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3198 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2620 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Plug Power, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLUG), Swift Transportation Company (NYSE:SWFT), ChinaNet Online Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:CNET), Streamline Health Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:STRM), Birks Group Inc. (NYSE:BGI), SITO Mobile Ltd (NASDAQ:SITO). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  PLUG $0.380 0.19% 19,515,058 43.14% 17,933,500 39.64% 1,581,558 41,620
  SWFT $4.630 0.23% 7,893,836 29.91% 7,605,178 28.81% 288,658 623
  CNET $0.440 0.37% 54,997 40.13% 45,074 32.89% 9,923 226
  STRM $0.200 0.21% 28,672 47.33% 26,686 44.05% 1,986 99
  BGI $0.250 0.18% 56,609 45.35% 31,103 24.92% 25,506 1,020
  SITO $0.980 0.47% 367,019 36.48% 361,609 35.94% 5,410 55
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PLUG with a dollar gain Monday of $0.38000 and a Friction Factor of 41,620 shares. That means that it only took 41,620 more shares of buying than selling to move PLUG higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
