March 24, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5412 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2847 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2895 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. New Concept Energy, Inc. (NYSE:GBR), Benitec Biopha (NASDAQ:BNTC), Westport Innovations Inc. (NASDAQ:WPRT), Fusion Telecommunications International Inc (NASDAQ:FSNN), Regulus Therapeutic Inc. (NASDAQ:RGLS), Akers Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ:AKER). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .
Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction GBR $0.660 0.65% 562,037 35.41% 550,347 34.67% 11,690 177 BNTC $0.420 0.19% 155,138 50.07% 109,500 35.34% 45,638 1,087 WPRT $0.150 0.17% 788,650 43.51% 586,843 32.38% 201,807 13,454 FSNN $0.240 0.16% 103,601 52.49% 73,386 37.18% 30,215 1,259 RGLS $0.250 0.20% 1,805,198 42.55% 1,300,799 30.66% 504,399 20,176 AKER $0.200 0.15% 66,750 48.77% 42,575 31.11% 24,175 1,209Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows GBR with a dollar gain Friday of $0.66000 and a Friction Factor of 177 shares. That means that it only took 177 more shares of buying than selling to move GBR higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
