March 15, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5387 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4483 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1722 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), SPDR S&P 500 (NYSE:SPY), Lloyds Banking Group plc (NYSE:LYG), AgriEuro Corp (OTC:EURI), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction EEM $0.960 0.03% 39,533,602 31.97% 33,348,490 26.97% 6,185,112 64,428 SPY $1.940 0.01% 22,110,956 26.67% 17,414,259 21.01% 4,696,697 24,210 LYG $0.020 0.01% 19,275,209 45.20% 11,694,797 27.42% 7,580,412 3,790,206 EURI $0.094 1.04% 12,486,955 64.53% 5,762,438 29.78% 6,724,517 716,899 GDX $1.610 0.08% 71,073,033 39.91% 36,185,574 20.32% 34,887,459 216,692 GDXJ $3.820 0.11% 32,635,656 40.11% 9,416,432 11.57% 23,219,224 60,783Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows EEM with a Net Buy Volume of 6,185,112 shares and a Friction Factor of 64,428 shares. That means that it takes 64,428 more shares of buying than selling to move EEM higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
