March 6, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5649 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1832 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4173 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. GRAVITY Co. Ltd. - American depositary shares each representing one (NASDAQ:GRVY), Shiloh Industries Inc. (NASDAQ:SHLO), SUNSET ISLAND GROUP (OTC:SIGO), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bull 3X ETF (NYSE:JNUG), Kura Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ:KURA), NantHealth Inc. (NASDAQ:NH). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  GRVY $-5.710 -0.21% 42,811 29.00% 45,151 30.58% -2,340 -4
  SHLO $-2.910 -0.18% 125,497 35.13% 130,846 36.63% -5,349 -18
  SIGO $-1.030 -0.37% 32,421 30.78% 68,922 65.43% -36,501 -354
  JNUG $-1.150 -0.17% 38,654,615 37.61% 44,769,437 43.56% -6,114,822 -53,172
  KURA $-2.700 -0.27% 85,482 33.39% 99,938 39.03% -14,456 -54
  NH $-1.670 -0.23% 316,841 33.48% 342,090 36.15% -25,249 -151
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows GRVY with a dollar loss Monday of $-5.71000 and a Friction Factor of -4 shares. That means that it only took 4 more shares of selling than buying to move GRVY lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
