March 2, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5521 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1766 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4372 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Thursday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD), United States Oil Fund, LP (NYSE:USO), Firesteel Resources Inc (NASDAQ:FTR), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bull 3X ETF (NYSE:JNUG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EEM $-0.680 -0.02% 18,301,174 29.77% 21,950,033 35.70% -3,648,859 -53,660
  AMD $-1.030 -0.07% 36,782,920 35.72% 41,333,369 40.13% -4,550,449 -44,179
  USO $-0.230 -0.02% 6,643,068 29.89% 11,188,489 50.35% -4,545,421 -197,627
  FTR $-0.110 -0.04% 19,785,842 34.49% 26,981,383 47.03% -7,195,541 -654,140
  GDXJ $-3.040 -0.08% 7,625,822 12.76% 25,709,497 43.02% -18,083,675 -59,486
  JNUG $-2.000 -0.24% 35,257,835 37.79% 43,013,923 46.11% -7,756,088 -38,780
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EEM down $-0.68000 with a Friction Factor of -53,660 and a Net Volume of -3,648,859. That means that it takes 53,660 more shares of selling than buying to drop EEM by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
