February 27, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5428 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3610 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2562 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company (NASDAQ:LJPC), Audiovox Corporation (NASDAQ:VOXX), ImmunoGen, Inc. (NASDAQ:IMGN), Intelsat S.A. (NYSE:I), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bear 3X ETF (NYSE:JDST), Cannabics Pharmaceuticals Inc. (PINK:CNBX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  LJPC $15.220 0.77% 6,361,355 34.84% 6,190,643 33.91% 170,712 112
  VOXX $0.850 0.20% 183,743 50.26% 126,396 34.58% 57,347 675
  IMGN $0.570 0.21% 3,181,308 41.15% 3,111,062 40.25% 70,246 1,232
  I $1.180 0.25% 401,040 36.10% 290,743 26.17% 110,297 935
  JDST $4.040 0.28% 10,176,389 40.52% 9,625,631 38.33% 550,758 1,363
  CNBX $0.760 0.26% 2,094,135 52.07% 1,783,185 44.34% 310,950 4,091
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows LJPC with a dollar gain Monday of $15.22000 and a Friction Factor of 112 shares. That means that it only took 112 more shares of buying than selling to move LJPC higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
