February 22, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5543 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2545 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3403 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Wednesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK), Yamana Gold Inc. (NYSE:AUY), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), MARKET VECTORS RUS ETF (NYSE:RSX), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bull 3X ETF (NYSE:JNUG), OWC Pharmaceutical Research Corp (OTC:OWCP). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CHK $-0.130 -0.02% 15,782,633 34.83% 20,710,321 45.70% -4,927,688 -379,053
  AUY $-0.120 -0.04% 5,210,533 29.82% 7,955,871 45.54% -2,745,338 -228,778
  F $-0.020 -0.00% 8,019,705 29.20% 11,419,628 41.57% -3,399,923 -1,699,962
  RSX $-0.380 -0.02% 1,942,220 20.08% 3,572,639 36.94% -1,630,419 -42,906
  JNUG $-0.070 -0.01% 16,788,336 39.76% 18,907,396 44.78% -2,119,060 -302,723
  OWCP $-0.380 -0.18% 9,035,133 44.34% 10,691,972 52.47% -1,656,839 -43,601
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CHK down $-0.13000 with a Friction Factor of -379,053 and a Net Volume of -4,927,688. That means that it takes 379,053 more shares of selling than buying to drop CHK by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
