February 22, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5543 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2545 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3403 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. American Electric Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:AETI), TOSHIBA CORP (OTC:TOSBF), TOSHIBA CORP UNSP A (OTC:TOSYY), MENTOR CAPITAL INC. (OTC:MNTR), KBS Fashion Group Ltd (NASDAQ:KBSF), Lantheus Holdings (NASDAQ:LNTH). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  AETI $0.450 0.23% 44,628 41.03% 42,262 38.85% 2,366 53
  TOSBF $0.292 0.17% 228,135 61.15% 144,425 38.71% 83,710 2,867
  TOSYY $1.705 0.17% 83,663 54.28% 68,383 44.36% 15,280 90
  MNTR $0.560 0.15% 953,030 51.42% 718,802 38.78% 234,228 4,183
  KBSF $1.290 0.23% 326,653 36.90% 312,438 35.30% 14,215 110
  LNTH $2.800 0.30% 618,709 34.49% 519,102 28.94% 99,607 356
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows AETI with a dollar gain Wednesday of $0.45000 and a Friction Factor of 53 shares. That means that it only took 53 more shares of buying than selling to move AETI higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
