February 15, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5416 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3605 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2518 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Wednesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Delta Galil Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ:DELT), Acura Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:ACUR), PhotoMedex Inc. (NASDAQ:PHMD), Sino - Global Shipping America Ltd. (NASDAQ:SINO), Galectin Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:GALT), ZAIS Group Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:ZAIS). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  DELT $-0.310 -0.20% 233,160 40.25% 252,168 43.53% -19,008 -613
  ACUR $-0.300 -0.26% 161,907 41.28% 177,252 45.19% -15,345 -512
  PHMD $-0.410 -0.17% 302,851 35.39% 339,600 39.68% -36,749 -896
  SINO $-1.070 -0.24% 1,722,353 38.64% 1,806,473 40.53% -84,120 -786
  GALT $-0.320 -0.18% 486,601 36.88% 587,084 44.49% -100,483 -3,140
  ZAIS $-0.970 -0.23% 942,859 34.71% 1,175,768 43.29% -232,909 -2,401
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DELT with a dollar loss Wednesday of $-0.31000 and a Friction Factor of -613 shares. That means that it only took 613 more shares of selling than buying to move DELT lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
