February 8, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5601 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3228 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2635 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Coherent Inc. (NASDAQ:COHR), Aehr Test Systems (NASDAQ:AEHR), Platinum Group Metals Ltd (NYSE:PLG), Vertex Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:VTNR), Walker & Dunlop Inc. (NYSE:WD), EARTH SCIENCE TECH (OTC:ETST). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  COHR $29.310 0.18% 469,262 33.37% 452,848 32.20% 16,414 6
  AEHR $0.770 0.35% 3,065,034 33.13% 2,985,118 32.27% 79,916 1,038
  PLG $0.400 0.21% 1,415,119 42.43% 1,263,843 37.89% 151,276 3,782
  VTNR $0.220 0.16% 46,280 50.14% 25,369 27.48% 20,911 951
  WD $5.170 0.16% 323,894 32.93% 308,412 31.35% 15,482 30
  ETST $0.840 0.40% 140,572 54.37% 108,660 42.03% 31,912 380
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows COHR with a dollar gain Wednesday of $29.31000 and a Friction Factor of 6 shares. That means that it only took 6 more shares of buying than selling to move COHR higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
