January 31, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5395 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3767 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2363 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:MNTA), BEAR CREEK MNG CORP (OTC:BCEKF), MATINAS BIOPHARMA HL (OTC:MTNB), Cannabics Pharmaceuticals Inc. (PINK:CNBX), EVINE Live Inc. (NASDAQ:EVLV), Fuling Global (NASDAQ:FORK). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MNTA $3.800 0.25% 1,055,854 32.93% 927,086 28.92% 128,768 339
  BCEKF $0.284 0.14% 81,919 58.54% 46,377 33.14% 35,542 1,251
  MTNB $0.320 0.15% 249,135 63.85% 135,958 34.84% 113,177 3,537
  CNBX $0.280 0.35% 1,013,562 61.81% 618,091 37.69% 395,471 14,124
  EVLV $0.190 0.14% 116,661 35.36% 87,633 26.56% 29,028 1,528
  FORK $0.350 0.14% 70,733 55.55% 36,207 28.44% 34,526 986
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MNTA with a dollar gain Tuesday of $3.80000 and a Friction Factor of 339 shares. That means that it only took 339 more shares of buying than selling to move MNTA higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
