January 31, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5395 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3767 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2363 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI), Johnson Lambert & Co. (NYSE:S), CenturyLink Inc (NYSE:CTL), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EEM $0.070 0.00% 26,090,224 38.24% 18,001,169 26.38% 8,089,055 1,155,579
  PBI $0.280 0.02% 7,142,215 42.36% 1,952,980 11.58% 5,189,235 185,330
  S $0.120 0.01% 15,329,037 41.26% 11,985,720 32.26% 3,343,317 278,610
  CTL $0.050 0.00% 7,135,085 44.70% 2,032,810 12.74% 5,102,275 1,020,455
  GDX $0.760 0.03% 40,383,336 41.56% 15,237,746 15.68% 25,145,590 330,863
  GDXJ $0.970 0.03% 8,122,181 38.07% 3,071,491 14.40% 5,050,690 52,069
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EEM with a Net Buy Volume of 8,089,055 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,155,579 shares. That means that it takes 1,155,579 more shares of buying than selling to move EEM higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
