January 23, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5592 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3094 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3008 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Johnson Lambert & Co. (NYSE:S), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), Vanguard Intermediate-Term Bond ETF (NYSE:BIV), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ), Market Vectors ETF Trust (NYSE:EMLC), Rocky Mountain High Brands Inc. (PINK:RMHB). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .
Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction S $0.270 0.03% 14,054,675 47.61% 7,544,598 25.56% 6,510,077 241,114 GDX $0.710 0.03% 41,325,629 51.36% 16,259,985 20.21% 25,065,644 353,037 BIV $0.290 0.00% 3,400,236 74.12% 208,879 4.55% 3,191,357 110,047 GDXJ $0.950 0.03% 7,947,373 46.82% 3,443,156 20.29% 4,504,217 47,413 EMLC $0.040 0.00% 4,015,913 78.09% 273,907 5.33% 3,742,006 935,502 RMHB $0.032 0.27% 13,814,394 57.50% 10,163,247 42.30% 3,651,147 1,133,897Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows S with a Net Buy Volume of 6,510,077 shares and a Friction Factor of 241,114 shares. That means that it takes 241,114 more shares of buying than selling to move S higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
