January 12, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5383 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2496 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3530 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE:EPD), Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), HP Inc. (NYSE:HPQ), Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE:WFT), Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:AMD), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EPD $-0.030 -0.00% 2,713,275 42.90% 790,313 12.50% 1,922,962 Abnormal
  INTC $-0.240 -0.01% 8,345,312 41.05% 5,763,280 28.35% 2,582,032 Abnormal
  HPQ $-0.240 -0.02% 5,042,440 41.68% 2,706,792 22.38% 2,335,648 Abnormal
  WFT $-0.390 -0.07% 10,684,100 40.20% 7,202,511 27.10% 3,481,589 Abnormal
  AMD $-0.530 -0.05% 28,546,503 37.99% 25,163,325 33.49% 3,383,178 Abnormal
  GDXJ $-0.230 -0.01% 6,859,698 37.46% 4,422,891 24.15% 2,436,807 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Thursday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EPD with 1,922,962 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.03000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
