January 11, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5430 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3658 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2375 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Wednesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX), Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ), Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), Merrimack Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:MACK), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BSX $-0.300 -0.01% 3,403,055 27.92% 5,389,057 44.21% -1,986,002 -66,200
  VZ $-0.300 -0.01% 4,059,373 25.22% 6,090,530 37.83% -2,031,157 -67,705
  ABT $-0.210 -0.01% 2,450,809 22.93% 4,246,831 39.74% -1,796,022 -85,525
  F $-0.150 -0.01% 15,314,854 30.95% 18,086,203 36.55% -2,771,349 -184,757
  MACK $-0.090 -0.03% 4,114,980 24.72% 9,606,449 57.72% -5,491,469 -610,163
  GDXJ $-0.070 -0.00% 4,580,986 22.48% 6,421,785 31.52% -1,840,799 -262,971
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BSX down $-0.30000 with a Friction Factor of -66,200 and a Net Volume of -1,986,002. That means that it takes 66,200 more shares of selling than buying to drop BSX by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
