January 4, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5242 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4989 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1479 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), Johnson Lambert & Co. (NYSE:S), The Chemours Co (NYSE:CC), Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BAC $0.410 0.02% 30,170,924 38.07% 24,749,447 31.23% 5,421,477 132,231
  GE $0.020 0.00% 9,132,497 37.80% 5,869,107 24.29% 3,263,390 1,631,695
  S $0.220 0.03% 16,769,789 53.65% 9,227,080 29.52% 7,542,709 342,850
  CC $0.990 0.05% 16,015,779 41.92% 9,660,198 25.28% 6,355,581 64,198
  ABT $0.300 0.01% 10,762,776 38.47% 6,059,684 21.66% 4,703,092 156,770
  GDX $0.180 0.01% 20,336,954 31.54% 13,863,524 21.50% 6,473,430 359,635
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with a Net Buy Volume of 5,421,477 shares and a Friction Factor of 132,231 shares. That means that it takes 132,231 more shares of buying than selling to move BAC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
