January 3, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5326 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4401 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1996 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Celadon Group Inc. (NYSE:CGI), StemCells Inc. (NASDAQ:MBOT), QUEST BIOTECHNOLOGY (OTC:QBIO), MENTOR CAPITAL INC. (OTC:MNTR), Kindred Biosciences (NASDAQ:KIN), Tenax Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:TENX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CGI $1.590 0.22% 255,060 28.94% 241,491 27.40% 13,569 85
  MBOT $1.520 0.25% 69,919 47.43% 53,400 36.23% 16,519 109
  QBIO $1.910 0.32% 213,937 49.26% 195,062 44.91% 18,875 99
  MNTR $0.250 0.24% 390,934 63.47% 221,981 36.04% 168,953 6,758
  KIN $0.900 0.21% 39,583 42.88% 36,437 39.47% 3,146 35
  TENX $0.390 0.20% 269,540 34.85% 253,469 32.77% 16,071 412
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CGI with a dollar gain Tuesday of $1.59000 and a Friction Factor of 85 shares. That means that it only took 85 more shares of buying than selling to move CGI higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
