December 30, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5339 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2902 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3800 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Friday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. ParkerVision, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRKR), Gold Resource Corporation (NYSE:GORO), EnteroMedics Inc. (NASDAQ:ETRM), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bull 3X ETF (NYSE:JNUG), Capricor Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:CAPR), PDI Inc. (NASDAQ:IDXG). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  PRKR $-0.280 -0.13% 47,229 24.52% 53,611 27.84% -6,382 -228
  GORO $-0.670 -0.14% 642,915 19.27% 845,711 25.35% -202,796 -3,027
  ETRM $-0.380 -0.16% 137,109 27.88% 198,749 40.41% -61,640 -1,622
  JNUG $-0.990 -0.15% 28,820,454 37.75% 31,172,300 40.83% -2,351,846 -23,756
  CAPR $-0.390 -0.13% 70,687 30.18% 111,344 47.53% -40,657 -1,042
  IDXG $-1.150 -0.21% 114,057 31.43% 136,871 37.71% -22,814 -198
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PRKR with a dollar loss Friday of $-0.28000 and a Friction Factor of -228 shares. That means that it only took 228 more shares of selling than buying to move PRKR lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
