December 15, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5809 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2718 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3199 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. iShares MSCI Brazil Index Fund (NYSE:EWZ), Axion Power International Inc. (OTC:AXPW), SPDR S&P 500 (NYSE:SPY), Gerdau S.A. (NYSE:GGB), Cobalt International Energy Inc. (NYSE:CIE), ON Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:ON). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EWZ $0.340 0.01% 9,407,769 35.02% 5,200,508 19.36% 4,207,261 123,743
  AXPW $0.012 0.63% 6,278,505 59.73% 4,232,256 40.27% 2,046,249 1,663,617
  SPY $1.000 0.00% 37,751,777 31.39% 25,689,597 21.36% 12,062,180 120,622
  GGB $0.150 0.05% 5,156,922 48.61% 2,873,843 27.09% 2,283,079 152,205
  CIE $0.010 0.01% 3,079,816 51.62% 921,581 15.45% 2,158,235 2,158,235
  ON $0.630 0.05% 23,558,868 76.01% 4,530,606 14.62% 19,028,262 302,036
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EWZ with a Net Buy Volume of 4,207,261 shares and a Friction Factor of 123,743 shares. That means that it takes 123,743 more shares of buying than selling to move EWZ higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
