November 29, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5693 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2742 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3144 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Novavax Inc. (NASDAQ:NVAX), Provectus Biopharmaceuticals Inc. (PINK:PVCT), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Williams Companies Inc. (NYSE:WMB), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (NYSE:FCAU). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  NVAX $-0.010 -0.01% 7,973,425 67.97% 2,241,148 19.10% 5,732,277 Abnormal
  PVCT $-0.012 -0.44% 14,232,165 54.08% 12,082,217 45.91% 2,149,948 Abnormal
  AAPL $-0.110 -0.00% 10,541,561 37.51% 8,444,652 30.05% 2,096,909 Abnormal
  WMB $-0.310 -0.01% 4,667,388 54.09% 1,661,155 19.25% 3,006,233 Abnormal
  GDX $-0.190 -0.01% 14,869,805 31.20% 11,755,641 24.67% 3,114,164 Abnormal
  FCAU $-0.100 -0.01% 9,293,357 48.59% 4,839,178 25.30% 4,454,179 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Tuesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows NVAX with 5,732,277 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.01000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
