November 29, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5693 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2742 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3144 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. General Motors Company (NYSE:GM), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), Rite Aid Corp (NYSE:RAD), Xilinx Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX), Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:SBUX), Mizuho Financial Group Inc. (NYSE:MFG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  GM $0.450 0.01% 4,787,939 38.37% 3,224,849 25.85% 1,563,090 34,735
  SIRI $0.060 0.01% 17,566,890 48.32% 11,161,349 30.70% 6,405,541 1,067,590
  RAD $0.290 0.04% 8,748,699 38.56% 6,889,381 30.36% 1,859,318 64,114
  XLNX $0.720 0.01% 2,563,171 61.05% 769,653 18.33% 1,793,518 24,910
  SBUX $0.350 0.01% 4,120,657 39.59% 2,526,518 24.27% 1,594,139 45,547
  MFG $0.040 0.01% 2,631,522 81.85% 287,337 8.94% 2,344,185 586,046
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows GM with a Net Buy Volume of 1,563,090 shares and a Friction Factor of 34,735 shares. That means that it takes 34,735 more shares of buying than selling to move GM higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
