November 14, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5638 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3173 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3087 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Resource Capital Corporation (NYSE:RSO), Xinyuan Real Estate Co. Ltd. (NYSE:XIN), Sigma Labs Inc. (OTC:SGLB), Galena Biopharma Inc. (NASDAQ:GALE), Eros International Plc (NYSE:EROS), Turtle Beach Corp (NASDAQ:HEAR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  RSO $-3.600 -0.30% 1,029,762 36.21% 1,093,470 38.45% -63,708 -177
  XIN $-0.730 -0.13% 271,221 34.65% 282,618 36.11% -11,397 -156
  SGLB $-0.990 -0.44% 38,884 44.61% 47,565 54.57% -8,681 -88
  GALE $-0.660 -0.16% 174,538 36.42% 186,898 39.00% -12,360 -187
  EROS $-2.550 -0.14% 128,471 29.22% 168,676 38.36% -40,205 -158
  HEAR $-0.360 -0.19% 523,517 35.48% 634,046 42.97% -110,529 -3,070
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows RSO with a dollar loss Monday of $-3.60000 and a Friction Factor of -177 shares. That means that it only took 177 more shares of selling than buying to move RSO lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
