November 7, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5308 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4657 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1819 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. InfuSystem Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:INFU), Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp (NASDAQ:SHIP), CS Nassau VelocityShares Daily 2x VIX Short Term Exchange Traded Notes 2015-4.12.30 Linked to S&P 50 (NASDAQ:TVIX), PowerShares Exchange-Traded Fund Trust II (NYSE:UVXY), 500.com (NYSE:WBAI), Concordia Healthcare Corp (NASDAQ:CXRX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  INFU $-1.000 -0.39% 115,587 14.22% 174,215 21.43% -58,628 -586
  SHIP $-0.400 -0.16% 50,593 28.79% 64,103 36.48% -13,510 -338
  TVIX $-5.950 -0.27% 4,489,157 30.91% 4,554,550 31.36% -65,393 -110
  UVXY $-5.300 -0.26% 17,230,410 36.97% 17,569,547 37.69% -339,137 -640
  WBAI $-4.790 -0.28% 891,076 31.69% 982,940 34.96% -91,864 -192
  CXRX $-1.160 -0.36% 5,786,403 33.54% 6,974,686 40.43% -1,188,283 -10,244
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows INFU with a dollar loss Monday of $-1.00000 and a Friction Factor of -586 shares. That means that it only took 586 more shares of selling than buying to move INFU lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
