October 31, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5513 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2936 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3126 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), iShares MSCI Japan Index Fund (NYSE:EWJ), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), Medical Properties Trust Inc. (NYSE:MPW), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EEM $0.270 0.01% 18,658,629 29.22% 22,450,156 35.15% -3,791,527 Abnormal
  EWJ $0.010 0.00% 5,736,167 20.54% 13,482,984 48.28% -7,746,817 Abnormal
  MSFT $0.150 0.00% 5,150,090 19.82% 11,568,541 44.52% -6,418,451 Abnormal
  F $0.020 0.00% 8,301,387 26.22% 14,742,734 46.57% -6,441,347 Abnormal
  MPW $0.250 0.02% 1,499,747 14.90% 5,950,146 59.13% -4,450,399 Abnormal
  GDX $0.710 0.03% 18,224,060 22.87% 28,832,624 36.18% -10,608,564 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Monday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EEM with 3,791,527 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.27000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
