October 25, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5578 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2171 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3718 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Tuesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. FuelCell Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:FCEL), Pacific Mercantile Bancorp (NASDAQ:PMBC), Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc. (NASDAQ:HMNY), OpGen (NASDAQ:OPGN), Peabody Energy Corp (PINK:BTUUQ), Windtree Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:WINT). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  FCEL $-1.500 -0.29% 1,545,450 42.88% 1,623,173 45.03% -77,723 -518
  PMBC $-1.700 -0.23% 56,863 7.24% 682,239 86.83% -625,376 -3,679
  HMNY $-2.900 -0.30% 247,499 35.63% 292,855 42.16% -45,356 -156
  OPGN $-0.390 -0.22% 253,723 31.25% 289,819 35.70% -36,096 -926
  BTUUQ $-5.740 -0.36% 1,444,106 31.81% 1,753,797 38.63% -309,691 -540
  WINT $-0.800 -0.25% 132,886 25.24% 217,384 41.29% -84,498 -1,056
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FCEL with a dollar loss Tuesday of $-1.50000 and a Friction Factor of -518 shares. That means that it only took 518 more shares of selling than buying to move FCEL lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
