October 11, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5194 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1286 companies with positive Friction Factors and 5096 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLF), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MU), iShares MSCI Japan Index Fund (NYSE:EWJ), Great Plains Energy Inc. (NYSE:GXP), ENEL SOCIETA PER AZI (OTC:ENLAY). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLF $-0.190 -0.01% 24,261,218 31.28% 21,783,405 28.08% 2,477,813 Abnormal
  EEM $-0.850 -0.02% 26,150,897 31.34% 21,613,630 25.91% 4,537,267 Abnormal
  MU $-0.650 -0.04% 14,272,833 37.86% 11,691,745 31.02% 2,581,088 Abnormal
  EWJ $-0.110 -0.01% 13,005,260 41.89% 7,522,617 24.23% 5,482,643 Abnormal
  GXP $-0.370 -0.01% 3,132,251 54.53% 894,449 15.57% 2,237,802 Abnormal
  ENLAY $-0.055 -0.01% 3,397,834 98.64% 46,345 1.35% 3,351,489 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Tuesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLF with 2,477,813 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.19000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
