September 28, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5495 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3774 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2187 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Great Plains Energy Inc. (NYSE:GXP), Corning Inc. (NYSE:GLW), United States Oil Fund, LP (NYSE:USO), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), SPDR S&P OILGAS EPL ETF (NYSE:XOP), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  GXP $0.680 0.03% 27,726,919 46.51% 18,353,237 30.79% 9,373,682 137,848
  GLW $0.300 0.01% 6,090,324 51.54% 2,664,891 22.55% 3,425,433 114,181
  USO $0.500 0.05% 41,928,359 44.99% 37,211,533 39.92% 4,716,826 94,337
  GDX $0.630 0.02% 28,433,539 42.23% 13,807,095 20.51% 14,626,444 232,166
  XOP $2.200 0.06% 15,938,255 33.20% 12,341,974 25.71% 3,596,281 16,347
  GDXJ $1.420 0.03% 11,959,083 52.90% 3,986,832 17.64% 7,972,251 56,143
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows GXP with a Net Buy Volume of 9,373,682 shares and a Friction Factor of 137,848 shares. That means that it takes 137,848 more shares of buying than selling to move GXP higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
